The United Way MAKE IT BE Video Challenge is made possible by AT&T and is a unique opportunity to provide job skills, mentorship and self-expression to Bay Area high-school students.

About United Way of the Bay Area and MAKE IT BE
Food or gas. Heat or clothing. Daycare or the doctor. These are choices that no one should have to make. Yet 1 in 5 of us – 280,000 Bay Area households – live in poverty. 1 in 5 is not OK. Not in one of the richest, most forward-thinking regions in the world. We can’t sit on the sidelines. That’s why United Way of the Bay Area is working to cut that number in half by 2020  through its programs and its MAKE IT BE campaign. Together, through volunteer action, MAKE IT ME will help mobilize thousands of volunteers to tackle poverty – step by step – block by block – one problem at a time.
