To achieve these goals, United Way mobilizes everyone in our communities to LIVE UNITED — Give, Advocate and Volunteer.

About Destination: Graduation
Far too many young people in North Texas are dropping out of high school or not graduating on time. United Way of Metropolitan Dallas aims to combat this trend with its educational initiative Destination: Graduation. Launched in 2005, Destination: Graduation is designed to help more local students graduate from high school and pursue advanced education.

For the 2009-2010 school year, Dallas high school seniors in Destination: Graduation graduated at a 10 percent higher rate than their non-program peers. In Plano, Destination: Graduation students closed the gap between low socioeconomic status (SES) students and the student body as a whole by 34 percent.
